Daniel O. Magnuson, MA, MSW

Dan Magnuson has served as Executive Director of The Counseling Center of Milwaukee (TCCM) since March 2003. He brings more than 25 years of experience in human services at both local and national levels.

Prior to his appointment, Dan served for 10 years in various executive positions with the Alliance for Children & Families, a national nonprofit association of over 300 human service organizations serving 7 million people annually. While there Dan served as President of Ways to Work, Inc., a sister organization to the Alliance, as well as director of national programs. Dan began his career in residential and youth services in southeastern Wisconsin. During the 1980s, Dan served as executive director of a community-based mental health center and developed a public delinquency prevention initiative in the Syracuse, NY area.

Over the years, Dan has also volunteered on many local and national councils dedicated to strengthening the quality of youth, family and community life. He currently serves on the board of directors the WI Association of Family and Children’s Agencies (WAFCA), and is a member of the editorial board of the journal, Families In Society, the Alliance for Children and Families’ Resource Development Advisory Committee, the Health and Policy Committees of The Partnership Council, the Milwaukee National Family Week Partnership, and Youth Mental Health Connections network.

Dan holds masters degrees from Syracuse University (MSW) and the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago (MA). He graduated from Carthage College and lives in Brookfield, WI with his wife and two sons.

Timothy Baack, MS, LPC

Tim Baack, MS, LPC, is TCCM’s Associate Executive Director and, in this capacity, serves as the organization’s Chief of Staff. Tim also oversees the agency’s human resources development activities, and internal operations. A graduate of Marquette University and UW- Milwaukee, Tim is a state licensed mental health professional who has worked in the nonprofit human services field for nearly 25 years. Previous professional work has included tenures with the Milwaukee Council on Drug Abuse and its Underground Switchboard, and the AIDS Resource Center of WI, where he developed their mental health, medical, and supportive services programs. Tim currently serves as Board President for the statewide Wisconsin Association for Homeless and Runaway Services, as well as Secretary for the Milwaukee-based Shelter Director’s Group, a component of the HUD Continuum of Care group. Tim also serves as adjunct faculty for the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design (MIAD), where he teaches liberal studies courses on psychology and ecology.

Maryann Clesceri, LCSW, MSW

Maryann Clesceri has been an employee of The Counseling Center of Milwaukee since 1985. She has a Master’s Degree in Social Welfare and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 27 years experience in working with youth of all cultural backgrounds and 16 years experience working with youth with sexual behavior problems and young victims of sexual abuse. She has extensive experience in presenting seminars to all types of audiences; and has provided therapy to individuals and families affected by sexual abuse since 1988. She is currently serving on the Milwaukee Archbishop’s Community Advisory Board on Clergy Sexual Abuse as well as Chair of the City of Milwaukee’s Commission on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault.

Cathy Arney, LCSW, LMFT

Cathy Arney has been an employee at The Counseling Center of Milwaukee, Inc. (TCCM) for eight years and is the Director of Counseling, Group and Women to Women HIV Prevention Program. She is a licensed clinical social worker and marriage and family therapist. She has worked for TCCM throughout her 20 year career. After graduating with her MSW from UW-Milwaukee, she was employed at Pathfinders in the SafePath Program-a program for sexually abused girls and their families. Since then she has worked as a clinician in a number of different settings such as Milwaukee Psychiatric Hospital, Marquette University Counseling Center, and her own small private practice. She has been the clinical consultant at Pathfinders for 10 years.

Julie A. Bock, MSSW, LCSW, is the Program Director for the Pathfinders program at The Counseling Center of Milwaukee, Inc. She directly oversees the operation of the programs emergency youth shelter as well as Street Beat, the street outreach program operated in collaboration with Walker’s Point Youth and Family Center. Julie’s 20 years of commitment to youth services is clear from her previous positions as Senior Social Worker for Washington County Department of Social Services, Social Worker for Teen Pregnancy Services and Children’s Service Society of Wisconsin - Racine, Statewide Youth Prevention Programs Coordinator at AIDS Resource Center of Wisconsin and HIV Department Manager at Sixteenth Street Community Health Center.
