American School of Bangkok Elephant Mahout Camp

I recently traveled with a group of students to Pattaya Thailand on an Environmental Leadership Program to learn about the Endangered Asian Elephant.

Students worked in small groups with an elephant & their trainer (mahout).
We spent 3 days learning how to train, ride & care for elephants.
Students experienced the way a mahout lives, and the importance of elephants in Asian culture & history.
